He was involved in a number of national and international projects and he also was part of the scientific crew in 9 oceanographic cruises in the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean.

Southern Tyrrhenian, Sicily Channel, Western Ionian, Tuscan Archipelago and Southern Pacific Ocean.
